Who We Are
We are a farmette in Warrenton, Virginia learning how to raise chickens, grow food and flowers, and expand our livestock.
What We Do
Currently selling eggs by the dozen out front. Stay tuned for more to come.
Explore the Farm
Currently we house 15 laying hens and a rooster. We're also prepping 6 chicks to join the quarantine coop.
We're excited to grow our livestock in the future with plans for sheep & broiler chickens.
Right now we're preparing for Spring 2024 by getting ready to germinate and propagate plants this winter.
We're watching the persimmons fall in our front yard and collecting them for the enjoyment of our chickens.
More projects are underway to ready the land for the next year.
Why "Caliburn Oaks"?
Our family welcomed our first cat, Merlin, in 2017. That name sprung a theme of Arthurian names across our pets and livestock. Check out the images to see our non-human friends!
When deciding on a name for our farmette, we wanted to maintain the theme and come up with something unique. Everyone's heard of King Arthur's sword, Excalibur, but the original Sword in the Stone was named, Caliburn. We added the "Oaks" to honor the many beautiful oak trees found on our property. And from there, our little farm was born.
